I have never done a gift guide before, but I have some ideas that I know I would love. On your fibromyalgia journey you may find items that truly help on those not so good days. These are some items that I would either like to try or have tried and can’t live without. So, let’s dive right into the best 12 fibromyalgia gifts of Christmas!
First of all, I have to give some ideas that benefit an organization close to my heart, International Support Fibromyalgia Network. These are items that if you purchase proceeds go towards program support for this organization. I encourage you to click the link to find out more about what they are doing for the fibromyalgia community.

3. See’s Candy:
*As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. In addition, there are other affiliate links within this article. If you click and make a purchase, fibromomblog will earn a small commission. Mostly, this is just a fun article to inspire gift ideas for your loved one with fibromyalgia.*
4. Heating Pads
This is the heating pad I have and I love, love it! When I am having a very bad pain day, this really helps me relax. One of my favorite calming exercises is to put my electric heating pad on and do a meditation session from calm.com. I can’t tell you how much stress makes fibromyalgia symptoms worse, at least for me. Activating my parasympathetic nervous system allows my body to calm down and my muscles to relax. I can feel the stress leaving my body.
More awesome choices:
5. Cozy socks
I love socks, especially on those cold nights. Nothing says cozy more than a good pair of fuzzy socks. You can find me on the couch, with my socks, heating pad, a soft blanket and my Hallmark movies. Here are some choices I wouldn’t mind having.
6. Fibromyalgia Books
If you don’ t know me yet, I love to learn. So, it is only natural that I want to learn as much as I can about fibromyalgia. What is it they say, “knowing is half the battle.” These are just a few books that might help you in understanding fibromyalgia better.
7. Exercise Accessories
I know exercise can be complicated for those with fibromyalgia. I talk more about exercise for fibromyalgia in my Spoonie Exercise Challenge article. No matter what level or skill you have being active when you have fibromyalgia is imperative to keeping your muscles and joints loose. These are a few items I use to help me, although I only wish I had the meditation pillow. In addition, this isn’t the exact bike I have, but it is the idea you should consider. I love my stationary bike because often walking can be difficult for me.
*Everyone is different! So, always consult your physician before starting an exercise program.*
8. Online Yoga Classes
Perform yoga in the comfort of your own home with online classes. This would be a great gift for someone that would like to try yoga but isn’t comfortable going to a class. If you try this, please tell us in the comments how you like it. I have heard from others that this is a great program.
Another choice for yoga is called Yoga for the Chronic Life by MelissavsFibromyalgia. Click the link for the gift voucher.
9. Coffee Mugs
I love my coffee and I love to have it in a cute mug. I’m sure any coffee or tea lover would love to have one of these cute mugs.
10. Food Allergy Testing
One thing I have found that increases my fibromyalgia symptoms is when I eat certain foods. Give the gift of a food intolerance test so your loved one can easily see what foods might be the culprit for them. You can learn more about this service in my article New Tool To Improve Fibromyalgia Symptoms & Overall Health.
11. Journal
Being able to write down your feelings can be a huge help when dealing with chronic pain. In addition, I often use journals to track my food intake and fibromyalgia symptoms.
In addition to journaling, time-management is very important to my success. I have been using Erin Condren planners for a couple years now. These are more on the expensive side, but I absolutely love mine. I don’t know if I can go back to any other kind. So for me this is a great gift. Also, they have many different kinds of planners. For me, it is all about juggling school, work, kids and self-care, but for you it might be something else. Check out their planners here:
11. FibroMomBlog Merchandise
Honestly, the merchandise that I have created has been an experiment. You can choose from shirts, mugs, bags and sweatshirts. I’m always open to hearing feedback about my merchandise, so please feel free to leave a comment. To purchase any of these products go to Chronic Invisible Illness Shop
